VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT: Music/Performing Arts Teacher
Aarhus Academy for Global Education (AAGE) is now accepting applications for an experienced “Performing Arts” (music, drama and dance) teacher with a solid foundation in music training and teaching. This is an 80% position working with students in the International Baccalaureate’s Primary Years programme PYP4-8 (ages 5-11). In addition to the teaching requirement, this position also carries the responsibility for organizing special events and serving as the instrumental coordinator.
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the type of skills required to work in a primary school setting such as initiative, flexibility and openness to new cultures. Knowledge and/or teaching experience within the PYP IB programme will be given priority.
B.A. degree from an accredited college or university
Teaching certification as a primary/elementary music teacher
Three (3) years of full time teaching experience at the primary level
Familiarization with transdisciplinary teaching and inquiry-based learning
Strong information technology skills
Proven ability to work as a team member/collaborative skills
English a mother tongue

VACANCY POSTING: Part Time Position*
Aarhus Academy for Global Education (AAGE) is currently accepting applications for part time teachers who would qualify for temporary or long term cover/substitute positions in the Primary Years (grades 1-5) and/or Middle Years (grades 6-10) programmes of the International Baccalaureate. Preference will be given to those candidates who meet the majority of the criteria as listed under the minimum requirements of the above advertised position.
Interviews and the selection process is currently ongoing to meet the needs of an expanding and evolving program. These part time teaching positions are only available to candidates residing in the Aarhus area.
*Please note: Employment is regulated according to the terms and conditions as set by the Ministry of Finance and the Central Teachers’ Association (LC) inclusive of the organizational agreement terms for leaders and teachers at private elementary schools (in Denmark).
